There
have been significant changes at Bormann Brothers since the days Gus and
Henry Bormann experienced the thrill of a two-day moving trip from
Somerville (suburban Boston) to Chester, New Hampshire. What passed for
"state of the art" in 1917 is very different than what customers have
come to expect today. Yet what hasn't changed is the company's
rock-solid commitment to providing excellence in all facets of moving.
From the days of a two truck storefront operation to the current 35,000
square foot location in Pepperell, MA, the Bormann Brothers mission has
been unwaveringly steady; provide superior moving and rigging services
at the best price. Bormann Brothers has been a family owned business for
more than eight decades.
In 1966
Gus and Henry Bormann sold the Company to brothers David and Richard
Stapleford. After the passing of his brother, Richard, in 2007, David
made the decision to sell the Company to three key, long-term
employees. Thomas Gleason, Shirley Dupras and John Hay have a combined
40 years of experience with Bormann Brothers and apply the same "family
values" to the business that the original founders did.
The
company today serves as an agent for Wheaton Interstate Moving (MC
87113, USDOT 70719) and
maintains a full line
of road equipment on site, and offers the best of several worlds to
clients-- the stability of a family-run business that is small enough to
know you and large enough to serve your every need.
